Hating the holidays is a defense mechanism. When you're taught from a young age that the reason you aren't celebrating along with all the other children is because THEY are worshipping the Devil, it warps your view of the holidays. It takes acceptance of the real truth - that the WTS has lied to you about pretty much everything - to get over this.

At what age should a person loss their drivers licence?
by free2beme inin my area, in the last year, there has been six people killed in three separate accidents by someone over the age of 70. in two cases, the elderly people lived while the other drivers did not.
in one case the elderly person was killed, as well as the people they hit.
of the six people killed, two were children under the age of five.

Drivers should be retested at every renewal. Why this isn't done in the US has baffled me since I got my license.

Elders, perfect kind men who should be respected.
by free2beme ini know some former witnesses away from the board and when we have talked, we have commented on how we still see people put elders in this category, even after the exit.
once in a discussion with someone who used to be an elder, the person who used to be an elder did something kind of harsh in their comments.
the person in the group stated, "there is no way someone like you would have ever been an elder.

I knew one elder who I could say was truly a good man while he was an elder, and the last I heard of him, he was DF'd for apostasy. The nice ones end up leaving.

We started with four bags. After the kids were done with their rounds, we had at least twice as much than when we started. Of course, all the good stuff got eaten and now we're down to the "eat last", which sits in a big candydish on the coffee table. An interesting note is that the wrappers are red and green, so we're ready for Christmas. :D

Christian wonder drug cures homosexuality - 'cures disease!'

i am pleased to inform you that stupidity is not just limited to my area; it is indeed worldwide.
i dont know who is more stupid; sad pathetic people who stare up at the sky in amazement as they watch their money burn in the air (lemmings), absolutely amazed that these things let off loud noises and lights as they say 'wooooooooooh' there goes another one.... or these sad idiots who claim to 'cure' the disease of homosexuality!!!!!!!

controversial music
by The Jester inis it just me, or is controversial music more truthful than, lets say...."the truth" ???
i've been warned against music like this since as long as i can remember but nuthing stopped me from listening to it and relating better to tha lyrics than any speech i've been givin at meetings.
music is a big part of my life and i'm making it a career goal, but i hear that jw's cant go into tha entertainment business... your trying to tell me that a job that puts food on tha table, and a lil more, is any different from selling shoes in a lil store?
